Hiya guys!

I hope this works for you as well as it does for me.

1. Back up your 3dsetup folder first.

2. Extract the contents of the .zip file to a new folder.

3. Copy 3Dsetup.dll, 3DSetup.exe, 3dsetup.ini
   to your 3dsetup directory.

4. Run the new 3DSetup.

5. Run the d3d.reg file.

6. rename dx7z.dll or dx8z.dll to d3da.dll and copy to your Main NFS directory
   if you havent already.

Step 5 (d3d.reg) is a registry file that tells HS not to use DirectX enhancements. They are not compatable with HS. Running it will change the string "Thrash Driver"="dx" to read "Thrash Driver"="d3d". If you dont run it, you will get a corrupted file error.

Step 6 is MCO's dx7z.dll. TY to S/C for the contribution. Try the dx8z.dll first. I experianced minor graphic corruption. I was able to fix it with some minor option tweaking.

To remove this patch, simply put the original 3dsetup folders contents back and run 3dsetup again. This will leave some strings in your registry, and you can delete them by going to regedit and deleting the key, [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Electronic Arts]...

Good luck and enjoy!
